Antique skip planed Oak is sourced from old barns and other agricultural structures. It is among the classic and hard wearing reclaimed woods that often defines a rustic commercial or residential environment. Long term exposure to sun and weather has caused the surface of this hardwood to turn varying shades of silver and grey to characteristic aged browns. The surfaces of the original reclaimed timbers are heavily textured with circle saw marks and nail patterns. This weathered oak is available in uniform widths and can be milled for either flooring or paneling applications. Antique Oak skip-planed retains the saw marks, hues, nail holes, stress cracks that have become a familiar and timeless signature of reclaimed woods. Light to deep browns blend into a unified field, framed by the generally varied board widths and extended lengths of the re-milled boards.
