A by-product of our globalized economy, this beautiful mix of tropical hardwoods reached their final destination here in the US as dunnage on large container ships. They still bear the marks of the heavy containers that scraped across their surfaces. Dense, durable, and rot resistant- the Japanese Cargo woods are well suited in paneling, decking or dimensional applications. Available with original patina or resurfaced for a melody of color of grain.

A patchwork of browns, light and dark, along with grey highlights create an exotic and playful color mix that fits a range of design visions and environments. Despite the highly varied look, the aged wood surface is smooth, result of the remarkably hard exotic wood below.
