Native Northeast Softwoods are composed primarily of Eastern Hemlock, Spruce and White Pine. The most local woods that can be found, once growing in the dense old growth forests of the Northeast U.S. The pale, dense grained softwood was an ideal stable structural lumber. A century later, it re-emerges through the demolition process as a rustic and natural paneling or flooring.

The re-milled surface of the woods have a light pale brown color with an even grain and often frequent knots, nail holes and stress marks, with occasional saw marks. This material is often applied with an innovative range of surface finishes, including stains and whitewashes.
