South American Rainforests produce some of the hardest and most durable woods on earth, leading to their demand for a range of exterior applications. Reclaimed tropical hardwoods from local boardwalks may be the only option for utilizing these woods sustainably. The woods are also attractive as a greyed out boardwalk surface or as a re-milled and finely grained hardwood – while carrying the historic allure of Coney Island, Rockaway Beach and Atlantic City history.
